A different signature on every document — one slightly rushed, one carefully drawn, one typed in a different font because it was convenient that day — looks inconsistent if anyone ever compares them, and it's an easy problem to avoid entirely.
Create it once, deliberately
Instead of drawing a quick signature under time pressure the first time you need one, take a few minutes to create a version you're actually happy with — try a few attempts, pick the best one, and treat that as your standard from then on.
Save it as a file you can find again
Download your chosen signature as a PNG and store it somewhere memorable — a dedicated folder, cloud storage, or even emailed to yourself — so you're not recreating it from scratch every time a new document needs signing.
Use the same one across every context
Invoices, contracts, forms — using the identical signature image everywhere builds a recognizable, consistent mark, which matters more than people initially expect if signatures are ever compared across documents.
Keep a backup in more than one place
Losing your signature file to a deleted account or a broken device means recreating it and potentially ending up with a slightly different version — a simple backup avoids this entirely.
Revisit it occasionally, but don't change it casually
It's fine to update your signature style once in a while (a rebrand, a new preference), but treat it as a deliberate decision, not something that drifts by accident document to document.
